
Lawrence Galkoff
Lawrence Galkoff is the General Manager of Radioplayer Worldwide, where he is responsible for managing the 15 (soon to be 18!) countries which, along with the United Kingdom, make up the Radioplayer organisation. Radioplayer and Radioplayer Worldwide are owned by broadcasters. They are not-for- profit organisations, with income reinvested back into Radioplayer to achieve the strategy agreed by the member countries, currently Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Lawrence has spent nearly forty years working in the broadcasting industry in the UK, in television and radio, in the public service and in the commercial sector. He has held a number of production and technical roles at the highest level with significant responsibility for major national and international events such as UK, European and US election programs, major sports events and the Eurovision Song Contest. Radioplayer Worldwide is the international arm of Radioplayer which was founded by the BBC and commercial radio in the UK in 2011. Radioplayer exists to allow broadcasters in different countries to collaborate on technology, which helps radio compete equally against other streaming services ensuring that radio can retain its dominance in the audio market.
