Alexis Karakatsanis

Alexis Karakatsanis brings over 30 years of experience in the radio & audio business with a footprint in the markets of Athens, Thessaloniki, Cyprus and Serbia. During these years, Alexis has designed and supervised the successful launch of five radio stations (of different format) on FM, and more than 20 online. He implements the “art & science” model which is based on research but demands experience and out of the box thinking on execution. Alexis has been a member of EIIRA (the Association of Athens Private Radio Broadcasters) and he is the Greek representative of the Association in Radiodays Europe and Radioplayer.
Alexis held the position of Group Program Director for more than 10 years at Antenna Group (Rythmos 949, Easy 97,2 and soundis.gr). Under his management Rythmos 949 was leading its format being continually in the Top 3. Alexis was the mastermind of Easy 97.2 created in 2012 that shook the Athenian market leading the soft AC format and establishing itself as the “Christmas” station. For almost 20 years he was the Group Program Director for Touronis Group (Star FM, Heart FM, Greek/Aris FM). Star FM not only held the leading position for more than 20 years but shaped the music culture of the town. Heart FM held the leading position in its format (AC). Abroad Alexis coordinated the successful journey of Play in Serbia and Antenna Radio in Cyprus both reaching No 1 in their markets.
